Our decisions for what’s next are guided by what was done in the past

By bringing back a razor-sharp focus on developing hardware built on a foundation of careful workmanship, and an emphasis on pure, original designs, with a continuous drive to seek out paths that help propel the Keeler brand and products forward.

The Founding of Keeler, Year 1

1893

The Founding of Keeler, Year 1

The Keeler Brass Company was formally established in 1893, by three determined merchant brothers. Together they transformed a fledgling manufacturing company into a flourishing dynasty that would span over a century. The plant was known for, and specialized in furniture trim, and developed brass parts for Ford's revolutionary Model-T vehicles.

Manufacturing Perfection, Year 37

1930

Manufacturing Perfection, Year 37

In 1921, Keeler annexed a wooden screw division, making it the first screw producer beyond the east coast. Under strong leadership, the company invested heavily in advanced machinery and, by 1922, was recognized as the most modern and innovative screw maker in the world. Keeler's 1930 catalog made a bold claim about the precision of its wood screws: "We manufacture 'Perfection."

Post-War Prosperity, Year 48

1945

Post-War Prosperity, Year 48

Keeler expanded its horizons shortly after World War II. As lives improved and consumer demand escalated, Keeler added marine products and appliance trim to its portfolio of capabilities and its automotive and furniture markets. By setting a standard of invention early on, the company positioned itself for an even brighter future.

Modern Die Casting, Year 58

1951

Modern Die Casting, Year 58

Three years after implementing die casting, Keeler's investments in machinery and constant culture of innovation earned the company the title of "Most Modern Die Casting Plant in the World." Die casting had all the benefits of sand casting, yet it was cleaner, less expensive, and could accommodate more complex designs requiring both accuracy and precision.

A legacy in the arts, Year 76

1969

A legacy in the arts, Year 76

The Keeler family has always had a passion for supporting the modern arts and philanthropy within the community. In 1969, they contributed to the acquisition of Alexander Calder's famous sculpture, La Grande Vitesse, which still stands proudly today, accessible to the public. This meticulous devotion to art and design lives on within our designers and craftsmen, who pour over every detail with considerations to finish quality, finger heights, balance and weight of the parts.

Manufacturer of choice, Year 88

1981

As time passed, Keeler built a reputation for becoming a reliable decorative hardware manufacturer, known for delivering outstanding quality with a rich library of original designs that spanned in the thousands.
